The prolific and creative musician released three albums in nine months, all in different styles; the most recent release, "The Tinker's Dream," showcases Murphy's Celtic-flavored songwriting skills.

The first album, "Surface to Air," an indie rock-infused Americana dream (and Murphy's personal favorite), was released back in May of 2016 to stellar critical acclaim, including 9/10 stars from No Depression Magazine.

August saw the release of Murphy's bluegrass/folk/country album, "Red Mountain Blues," again to critical acclaim from national publications.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Murphy makes a living as a performer, bandleader and songwriter doing ticketed public shows as well as providing music for high-end events such as the Golden Globe Awards and celebrity weddings.  Learn more about Murphy at his website.

Tickets for Wednesday's show are $15. The performance begins at 8 p.m. For additional information, call (845) 359-1089.

The Turning Point is at 468 Piermont Ave., Piermont.
